Complexity of Adulthood

Pada karya ini Prashasti membangun drama ruang pertunjukan melalui kain putih yang dibentangkan selebar ruang. Kain putih tersebut kemudian dibalutkan secara perlahan ke tubuhnya. Melingkar hingga batas kemampuan tubuh untuk membalutnya. Bidang putih yang terbentuk dari bentangan kain tersebut, menguasai ruang secara penuh, sehingga penonton tidak hanya diarahkan untuk melihat tubuh yang dililitkan kain, namun bagaimana bidang putih tersebut berubah-ubah bentuk sesuai dengan gerak tubuh dan kekuatan performer.

In this work Prashasti builds drama in the performance space through white cloth spread out as wide as space. The white cloth is then slowly wrapped into her body, circular to the limit of the body’s ability to bandage it. The white field is formed from the stretch of the cloth, fully controls the space, so that the audience is not only directed to see the body that is wrapped in cloth, but how the white field changes shape according to body movements and strength of the performer.
