Formasi L

Sebagai karya seni performans perdananya, melalui karya ini Zikri mengeksplorasi kemungkinan tubuh sebagai objek dan komposisi bentuk, serta relevansinya dengan bagaimana objektivikasi tersebut bisa bermain dengan performativitas ruang. Zikri menguji bentuk “L” yang dikonstruksi melalui tubuhnya sendiri, dan menerabas batas-batas penempatan tubuhnya di dalam ruang yang ia eksplorasi, guna membangun intensitas tertentu dalam pandangan audiens, terutama dengan menekankan daya tahan tubuh itu sendiri yang telah ditransformasi dari “tubuh sehari-hari” menjadi “tubuh yang dibingkai”.

This is Manshur ZIkir’s first performance art work, through which he explored the possibility of the body as an object and form, and how relevant such an objectification could be played in the context of spatial performativity. Zikri experimented the form of “L” constructed by his own body and broke the limits of his body’s placement in the space he was exploring then. In doing so, he built a certain intensity within the viewers’ perception, especially by accentuating his own body’s endurance; the body of which the daily characteristic had been transformed into the “framed” one.
